This pre-owned Microtech Halo VI started off as a bronzed blade; however, the original owner polished the bronzing off because of a defect in the original bronze finish. The blade is now a stonewash finish. The hardware retains its bronze look. Also of note is a factory blemish in the grind of the bevel near the heel of the blade and also on the swedge. There is a small peak where it appears the blade shifted during grinding. An aftermarket kydex sheath is included. The price for this knife has been discounted accordingly.
The bronze finish on the blade can be re-applied with heat if desired, however, there is a risk to the temper of the steel if done by someone who is not experienced.
Microtech's Halo VI is built on the highly successful Halo V adding a safety feature in the button. The safety slide in the button prevents accidental openings; however, the placement and operation of the safety is subtle so quick action is still available. Now you can slide your HALO into your pocket without the need for a sheath/holster.
Thie Halo VI is a single action out the front blade operated by a push button and recharged by pulling on the rear cocking bar. The single action allows for a tighter lockup when compared to a double action knife.
