The Chaves Redencion 229 Ultramar Kickstop Flipper features everything you love about the regular 229 Ultramar but adding a kickstop flipper mechanism. The kickstop flipper tab disappears when the blade is open and is exposed when the blade is closed. The flipper tab is small but has enough presence to be easily used without fail and the heavy blade ensures a solid flip and lockup everytime.

The one thing lacking from this knife is the finger choil that is present on every Chaves knife. The benefit of this is that while using the knife, the blade edge will never fail off the material being cut; however, you lose the ability to choke up on the handle.

If you'd like us to add a finger choil we can modify the knife to suit your preference; however, this will add 2 weeks to the shipping time. Adding the choil will not affect the operation of the folder; however, it may void the warranty.
