A collaboration between Chad Nochols (of Nichols Damascus) and Les George (a well known custom knifemaker), the Defiant 7 brand was created to bring two talented artists together to produce mid-tech custom knives at approachable prices. This knife, the Kumu, features a titanium frame lock with flipper activation and an acid washed CTS-XHP blade.
The action on this knife is smooth and the detent is perfectly balanced. The detent will hold the blade firmly in place in the handle but doesn't require a tremendous amount of force to break the blade free.
Designed for tip-up carry, the handle also has a lanyard loop so that it can be pulled easily from your pocket.
This knife is pre-owned and has been returned previously. The lockbar has some wear at the face where it engages the blade and does not stick in place. Although the blade locks open, this may bother some. We are discounting this knife heavily due to this condition.
