This impressive and massive knife practically begs to be carried and used hard. With a blade made from 0.197 inch CPM S30V stock, nobody is going to miss this intimidating presence. The titanium and sculpted G-10 handles measure in at 1/4 inch in thickness. The blade operation is extremely smooth, with only the single detent on the way to full deployment. Lockup is impressive and tight; if you didn't know better, this could be mistaken for a fixed-blade. When closed, the detent holds the blade firmly in place. The FIFP EX has an elongated thumb depression to open the blade though two handed opening is likely required for those with smaller hands.
This knife is a powehouse with its heft and razor sharp edge.
