This Chaves Knives 229 started off as a regular production model. It has since undergone a complete overhaul in house to make it a true custom piece of art. Nothing on this knife was left untouched. The following is a list of modifications on this knife: 1. Original G-10 scale replaced with a Nichols Damascus MokuTi Ladder Pattern scale 2. MokuTi scale has been sculpted 3. Original pivot replaced with Ti Connector titanium pivot 4. Blade choil enlarged so a normal sized adult finger can fit in order to choke up on the handle properly 5. Blade and screws have been acid washed 6. Flat part of blade has a hand rubbed finish with a logo delete 7. A floating backspacer with skull crusher was installed in white timascus 8. Blade edge was sharpened to be shaving sharp 9. Skull pocket clip was anodized witih a hot ferric acid bath 10. Lock side handle frame has a three color anodized finish
